In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the attorneys and staff at Breen Goril Law assure everybody that we will be operating as close to full capacity as possible. Our office operations will be conducted with the goal that our clients will experience little disruption. Effective immediately, our staff will be working from home, but will be fully operational. As the situation continues to develop, we will to assess the best way to serve our clients. Office extensions will be forwarded to our cell phones. We anticipate experimenting with practices such as teleconference depositions where the cases and circumstances are appropriate. Such practices will allow us to move cases forward. All attorneys and staff will, as always, continue to be available via e-mail.

Many of the court systems throughout the state of Illinois have been shut down for a time period of anywhere from one to three months. These decisions are made jurisdictionally and each county’s approach is a bit different; however, during this shut-down period, the jurisdictions all have mechanisms in place for judges to be available to hear true emergency matters and filings will be accepted via the usual e-filing method. Thus, we are able to ensure that deadlines are met and judicial relief is available when it is needed.

We encourage our clients and colleagues to maintain regular communication with our office and reasonably expect that our services will be provided in as seamless of a manner as the global conditions permit. That being said, some matters will be disrupted more than others and we appreciate your cooperation and calm during this time.

We wish you all the best of health as we persevere through this pandemic. Remember to wash your hands and practice social distancing as best you can, not just for your own health but for those in your community as well.
